Two New Additions!

Escot Bus Lines recently took delivery of two new 2013 Van Hool C2045 luxury coaches. As our International Motorcoach Group Operator of the Year coach has been so popular (see an earlier news article about that story!), 8689 and 8690 have been wrapped with the same scenes from the Tampa Bay area.

Each of these coaches is equipped with Detroit Diesel’s latest, cleanest engine. The coaches also feature integrated seat belts, DVD/CD player as well as many other amentities. These coaches also feature a lane-drift warning system for the driver.

Daytona 500 Shuttles Added

Hey Sebring, Avon Park, Lake Wales and surrounding area! We’ve added you to our Daytona 500 shuttle pick-up schedule. We will again depart Clearwater, Tampa, Lakeland, Davenport, Kissimmee and Orlando.

We’re the easy (and economical) way to the Daytona 500. Park free at one of our departure locations, relax aboard one of our luxury coaches, skip the expensive parking and get dropped off just outside the grandstand. After the race, let our professional drivers navigate the traffic as you recline your seat and settle in for a post-race nap.

New South Pinellas Route Begins January 13, 2013!

Hey Gulfport, St. Pete Beach, Tyrone, Northeast and St Pete! Escot is adding a new route to Tampa’s Seminole Hard Rock Casino, designed for you. Starting Sunday, January 13, we will offer service on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings as well as Sunday and Wednesday evenings. Like our other Pinellas County routes the cost is just $20 per person and each guest receives $30 in free play when they arrive at Seminole Hard Rock.

The new route will be detailed on our web site soon, but here is the basic schedule:

ESCOT Adds Four New Prevost Coaches!

ESCOT recently took delivery of four new Prevost H3-45 luxury highway coaches. Each is equipped with wheelchair lift, 110-volt power outlets, DVD player with flat screen monitors, wireless microphone, electronic destination sign and is powered by a clean/green Volvo diesel engine. The attractive interiors are done in blue and tan. Prevost coaches are manufactured in Ste. Claire, Quebec, Canada. The new additions bring ESCOT’s fleet to 45 motor coaches.

ESCOT’s President, Brian Scott; Vice-President, Pam Calixto and Board Chairman, Lew Scott were presented with International Motor Coach Group’s “Operator of the Year” award. The announcement took place at the IMG’s 2012 Strategic Alliance Meeting in Minneapolis, MN, August 9, 2012.

The crowd of IMG shareholders, suppliers and staff heralded the announcement with the entry of gorgeous new Prevost H3-45 coach. ESCOT’s owners and staff were expecting delivery of 4 new Prevosts but had no idea one of them had been re-routed to Minnesota or that it would be wrapped in scenes of its new base, Tampa/St. Petersburg. Unlike ESCOT’s traditional white scheme, coach 8686 sports photos of landmarks around the Tampa Bay area. However, the international flags are still a prominent part of the scheme!

ESCOT has been a part of International Motor Coach Group since 2001. IMG is comprised for more than 50 family-owned, premium motor coach companies across North America. Membership is by invitation and governed by extremely high standards. IMG members cross-promote each other, assist in marketing world-wide, cooperatively purchase from suppliers and are represented/supported by a national staff. ESCOT president, Brian Scott served as chairman of IMG’s board from 2008-2010.

Inspectors for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration conducted an audit of Escot Bus Lines’ policies and recordkeeping under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Inspectors were impressed with ESCOT’s files and procedures and gave us a glowing report.

Diane J. Scott, Wife, Mother, Friend, Escot founder/Principal dies

It is with a very heavy heart to say that our mother and one of Escot’s founders, Diane J. Scott passed away quietly with her family at her side on Saturday, July 23rd, 2011. We are very grateful for the wonderful outpouring of support we have received from family, friends and industry colleagues. While we work through this difficult time please keep Diane in your thoughts and prayers. She was a very strong woman and a great mother, wife and friend. A visitation will be held at the Moss Feaster Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 27th, 2011 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL. The service will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church on Thursday, July 28th, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. The churc is located at 11565 66th Avenue, Seminole, FL.
